George met his fate yesterday! Although he didn't completely go under the water until yesterday evening, Grace had the only bet for the entire day and it was obvious he was going under... so we were able to announce that she won in front of all of her friends at our Pancake Breakfast and Egg Hunt yesterday! The total came to $140, Grace getting $70 and Barnard Helping Hands getting the other $70. Awesome job, Grace! Such a lucky girl this year... Grace won our costume contest back in October as well!!!

As some of you may have heard, there was a house fire at Jonny Piana and Jesy Joy's house last night. Everyone (including their cat) is okay, but there was enough damage to the house that it is now uninhabitable.  There is a donation jar here at the front register of the BGS for them. Helping Hands is also accepting tax deductible donations for them as well. They can either be dropped at the store or mailed to PO Box 888 in Barnard. Please make sure any checks mailed to Helping Hands refers to this cause in the memo line.  The family is not seeking clothing or any other items right now. Please help this family with monetary donations if you can. They are a huge part of the Barnard community and it is because of their efforts at Fable Farm / Feast and Field that Barnard has become such a lively and fun town, especially in the summer!  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
